Native Village of Chitina

This collection comprises digital surrogate materials documenting cultural expressions from the Native Village of Chitina. The materials were generously donated by the community in support of Nay’dini’aa Na’ Kayax (Chickaloon Native Village)’s efforts to share a community-sourced narrative of the culture and history of the Ahtna Dene of Alaska. The collection further illustrates the interconnectedness of Ahtna Dene communities and how their stories, cultural practices, and histories are deeply intertwined.
